Longing To Be

Jesus had confidence
Jesus was kind and compassionate, but never a wimp
Jesus was strong, but never abused his strength
Jesus was never envious
Jesus wasn't afraid to challenge wrong and face opposition
Jesus didn't feel insecure or inadequate
Jesus was free of ambition and drive for success
Jesus wasn't hardened by his experiences
Jesus was never sarcastic, never indulged in cynicism, never gave way to pessimism
Jesus was joyful and happy
Jesus knew how to be angry without losing his temper
Jesus had peace
Jesus was free of anxiety
Jesus moved in great spiritual power; healing, deliverance, and miracles
Jesus was free of low self-esteem
Jesus wasn't addicted to food, alcohol, drugs or sex
Jesus was free of fear
Jesus was free of the stranglehold of greed and materialism
Jesus didn't rush around under pressure
Jesus was free from bitterness
Jesus was loved by kids
Jesus wasn't irritable and impatient
Jesus didn't live a futile life
Jesus didn't yearn for power and fame
Jesus had self-control yet was free to enjoy himself
Jesus didn't feel full of shame
Jesus wasn't lazy
Jesus knew how to rest
Jesus never did things to simply please men
Jesus was good at decision making
Jesus was equally at home with all levels of society
Jesus was free of self-pity
Jesus had nothing to hide
Jesus could handle rejection
Jesus was happy and positive to be around
Jesus wasn't selfish
Jesus wasn't despairing
Jesus was radical
Jesus was loving all the time
Jesus never hid from truth, he always lived in it
Jesus didn't panic
Jesus knew how to work
Jesus was never unable to cope
Jesus was completely secure in his Father's love
Jesus was victorious over temptation and the devil
Jesus was spontaneous and creative
Jesus wasn't afraid of people
Jesus could handle change
Jesus was full of faith and hope
AND LASTLY
Jesus changed EVERYONE he met

God help me...

Jesus left us some big shoes to fill.

Luckily, he's still filling them and will do whatever we're willing to get it right.
